What an adventure. If you’ve seen the film, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, get a life. I was hungry for this trip. Well, not so much hungry as I felt like I could eat a decent amount at that time; and there is a difference. Because of this, I got two meals. I am a long time fan of “J in the B”, and always look forward to every meal there. This time was no different and even under far more scrutiny than usual, the expectation still held up.

The Sourdough JackĀ®, I have to say, was tasty. The crispy sourdough bun was the key feature of this burger/melt. I will have to agree with my esteemed colleague on this one: the toasted, crisp sourdough “bun” was straight excellent.

The melted jack cheese, bacon, and, of course, patty all came together well. The white jack had a sort of plasticky texture to it, but the flavor was not compromised. The bacon also had a flattened, preserved texture, but again, it was tasty and crispy. And finally, that beef patty. What more can I say than it tasted quality?

You can say whatever you want about this fast food chain having low standards on their items or what have you, but all I can tell you is that it tasted like better ingredients than a lot of “higher quality” places.
